When teams add new games, meets, or competitions, GroupSpot defaults those events to appear on the Calendar Only, not the Feed & Calendar. That’s because most team admins upload their entire season’s schedule weeks—or even months—in advance, and there’s no need to flood the feed with events that far out.
Admins can manually switch an event’s visibility to Feed & Calendar when creating it. But for those who prefer to keep games off the feed until they’re just days away, GroupSpot offers an automated option. You can set games to move from the calendar to the feed automatically—by subteam—within your group settings. Here's how:
1. From your group menu, tap on Group Settings.
2. Choose Game Settings under Feature Settings. (Depending on your team type, you may see Competition Settings or Meet Settings.)
3. Select Feed Automation from the choices.
4. Toggle ON Enable Automation and then select your desired timing to move the games from your calendar to your feed and calendar. You can choose between one and five days out from the start of the event.
This automated feature allows admins to set it and forget it, giving them peace of mind and one less thing to remember heading into game day.
